  1. Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil to large pan over medium-low heat.
  2. Add garlic and chili flakes and and cook for about two minutes, but make sure garlic doesn’t start to burn.
  3. Add beans and stir well, mushing them up a bit with the back of the utensil.
  4. Add spinach, broccoli, salt, and artichoke hearts if using. You may need to add spinach in batches. Bring heat down to low and stir regularly for about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in about half of the parmesan and remaining olive oil.
  6. Serve immediately with a big slice of a crusty loaf of baguette and garnished with remaining parmesan.
